Efficiency Tips
Here are some things you can do to make your heating and air conditioning systems run more efficiently...
- Have a programmable thermostat installed.
A programmable thermostat will automatically operate your heating and cooling system according to your schedule. You wake up warm on a cold winter morning and step into a cool home on a sweltering summer day.
The precise temperature control will save you energy dollars, and it will give you set-it-and-forget-it convenience. Precise control saves wear and tear on high-efficiency equipment.
- Install 1 year air filters.
Typical air filters are designed to be changed out every 1 to 3 months. Most home owners forget to change these filters regularly. This causes harmful dust and dirt to build up to a point
where your home's air is not as clean as it could be and causes your HVAC equipment to work harder. With the installation of 1 year air filters, Ellis HVAC can remind you each year that it's time to change them out.
